Seeing Through My Little One's Eyes

Published:  at  05:30 PM

Something truly beautiful happens when you watch your toddler discover the world around them.

I’ve been immersed in work lately, but nothing has taught me more about truly seeing than my little one exploring our home.

There was this quiet moment yesterday - watching my baby girl pause to examine how her little kitchen doors open. Her eyes filled with wonder as she traced her tiny fingers along the door. In that gentle moment, I realized I hadn’t really thought about how simple doors really are.

This reflection touches me deeply as a developer too. When helping others with coding challenges, it’s not just about knowing solutions - it’s about rediscovering that same pure curiosity that makes my daughter’s eyes light up.

We all get caught up in the rush of life, missing the small miracles happening around us. The way morning light filters through windows. The subtle patterns in everyday objects. The elegant structure that makes our code work.

My daughter doesn’t just observe the world - she experiences it fully, with all her heart. She’s teaching me to slow down and remember what genuine wonder feels like.

In her innocent exploration, I’ve found a tender reminder of what matters most - being present enough to notice the extraordinary in the ordinary.
